Can I use my own AI key and model (BYOK)?
Yes. If you already have an API key for a supported AI model, add it in ICAST and the AI engine runs on your own account. We support Claude and GLM today. If you want another model, contact us and we will check it for you. With your own key, the AI provider bills you directly for what you use.
Can I use ICAST AI without my own AI key?
Yes. You do not need to buy AI tokens anywhere else. ICAST provides the AI model, suggests which model suits which kind of query, and you pay ICAST directly for the tokens you actually use.
How much do AI token charges cost?
It depends on how much text the AI reads and writes. Each request uses input tokens (your question plus the ICAST data it reads) and output tokens (the answer). A short question uses few tokens and costs little. A detailed report or a new dashboard uses more tokens and costs more. The rate per token depends on the AI model used, such as Claude, which is why we suggest the right model for each kind of task.
Can I see what each AI query cost?
Yes. ICAST’s AI engine gives you a detailed report for every question: the input and output tokens used and the amount charged for it.
Can I set a monthly limit on AI spending?
Yes. You can set a monthly limit on AI spending, so token charges stay within the budget you choose.
Is ICAST AI available on ICAST Lite?
Yes. The AI engine works on every plan, including ICAST Lite.
Do you use our data to train AI models?
No. We never use your data to train AI models.
Can ICAST AI give a wrong answer?
It can, though rarely. Like any AI, it can occasionally misread a question or get something wrong, so check important figures before you act on them. Every Ask AI answer shows the table and filters behind it, which makes that check quick.
Does a dashboard built with AI use tokens every time I open it?
No. AI tokens are used only while the dashboard is being built. After that, every time you open it, it shows the latest data without using any AI tokens.
Which languages can I use with ICAST AI?
Almost any language the major AI models support, including Hindi, Gujarati, Tamil and English. Ask in your own language and the answer comes back in the same language.
Does OCR use AI tokens?
No. OCR is charged per scanned page at a small fixed rate, not by AI tokens, whether you upload a photo, a scan or a PDF. ICAST uses its own trained models together with proven OCR engines to read each page. Your exact rate is part of your plan quote.
